VP, Public Policy and Advocacy, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

Biography

Catherine Connor leads global public policy and advocacy at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, where she champions sustainable, equity-driven solutions to end HIV and AIDS in children and families. With 15+ years at the intersection of global health, diplomacy, and law, she works alongside government officials, donors, and international partners to expand access to care and safeguard pediatric HIV progress. A former attorney and seasoned strategist, her work has been featured in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, Christianity Today, ABC News, and Mother Jones. “Children who experience treatment disruption die much faster than adults,” she recently told lawmakers. In 2023, she was appointed as an Alternate Board Member for the NGO Delegation to the Global Fund to Fight HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. Since 2022, she has served as co-chair of the Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS. Her advocacy is shaped by people like Tatu, a Tanzanian nurse and mother whose daughter, born HIV-free, now studies pharmacology. “Every policy win,” Catherine says, “should look like a future someone gets to live.” She holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in political science and journalism from the University of Georgia.
