Lisa Chensvold

Lisa Chensvold is Senior Vice President of Strategic Communications at Opportunity Finance Network. She has nearly 20 years of experience working in communications and marketing at nonprofits focused on equity and opportunity. She joined OFN in 2022 and drives OFN’s communications and public relations, particularly brand narrative and reputation, media, and thought leadership.

Before joining OFN, she led marketing and communications at the National Fund for Workforce Solutions, a national network that advances equity and economic opportunity through good jobs. Lisa relocated to Washington, D.C., in 2014 to rebuild the communications department at IESC, an international development nonprofit focused on economic growth. She began her strategic communications career in global health, working with some of the nation’s leading HIV/AIDS experts at the University of North Carolina Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases.

Lisa earned a B.A. summa cum laude from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an M.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When she’s not working, you can find her taking long, urban walks, performing with The Washington Chorus, or killing it at competitive karaoke.
