Amy Ruth Cole

Amy Ruth Cole is Senior Director of Strategic Communications and Content at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), where she leads communications and content strategy to advance pharmacy practice, patient care, advocacy, and organizational priorities.

With more than 20 years of experience across healthcare, nonprofit, corporate, government, and agency settings, Amy has led award-winning strategic communications and public affairs initiatives focused on advocacy, public health, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, executive visibility, and issues management. Prior to joining ASHP, she held leadership roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Porter Novelli, and Burson-Marsteller, advising national organizations on strategic communications, public affairs, media relations, crisis communications, and brand positioning.

Throughout her career, Amy has helped organizations navigate complex healthcare and policy issues in rapidly evolving environments. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from American University.
