Biography

Kara Saleeby leads the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s U.S. policy and advocacy work, making the case in Washington for ending pediatric HIV and AIDS and sustaining America’s leadership in the global HIV response. As co-chair of the Global AIDS Policy Partnership (GAPP), she helps steer a broad coalition of organizations toward a unified voice on PEPFAR, the Global Fund, and U.S. investment in global HIV programs, work that has demanded sharp message discipline as priorities and funding have shifted.

Kara brings more than 15 years of experience in public policy and government affairs, with a reputation for translating complex policy into clear, compelling messages for Congress, the Administration, coalition partners, and international allies. Her advocacy has helped shape legislation and strengthen U.S. leadership on global health. Throughout, she keeps the focus on protecting hard-won gains and keeping children and families at the center of the conversation.
